Creating Into The Void Of My Own Indifference to Fit In

THE GLORY OF FIC!

Nothing Is Created. Nothing Is Destroyed. But Everything Matters.

Human nature is my genre, and through its vast exploration, I have learned to appreciate the true flow of one’s chosen creative path.

There are no original ideas!

My Method

I like to think of writing like jazz. Everyone comes to the performance with the same basic melody and the same basic skills, but the discordant notes, the diffusion of pain, sorrow, joy, struggle, love, passion, the journey of the human spirit…

By using it, distilling it, and experimenting with what already exists in an unexpected way it challenges and changes the context of melody by turning conventional understanding on its head to create a new harmony that wakes one up and redefines the world of active interpretation.

The baseline composition might be the same across performers. Still, each individual decides how to layer the nuance of any given moment, situation, individual’s emotion on top of what has already been done to create a new and unique experience for the audience with their performance.

Soul, and the person it is bleeding through is what brings the music to life and sets it apart from just being a song.

We all have a voice. Yet we don’t all sing.

We all have two feet. Yet we don’t all dance.

We all have stories. Yet we don’t all tell.

We all have hearts… And we all feel.

In different ways. For different reasons.

Action. Endeavor. Motive… by any other means… still reads like an original story to me.

It is impossible. We Simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. ~Mark Twain

My Story

It’s not that I’m that much different from any writer you’ve ever met before, I mean, I sit in front of my keyboard and bleed my life’s blood and reason for getting up in the morning, just like the rest of them. I just prefer to do it talking to myself out loud as as many different people as possible (accents and curious ticks included!). I like to physically put myself in the proverbial shoes and situations of my characters to get an authentic feel for it. The emotions it invokes, the senses it stimulates, and the instincts it triggers – not to mention the witty lines, snappy dialogue, and, mostly cut out, expletives… mostly.

I like to plot, to scheme, and create obstacles even I have a hard time conceiving a way out of. I love to put myself in it to win it, to lose it, to ravage, destroy, and completely devastate. In a moment, in a time frame, not at a desk, but in the next few hours, gun to my head, figure it out, kind of way.

A synchronistically savage storyboard that pins creativity against ones ability to improvise!

I like to engage you by first engaging myself…

MY TRAJECTORY

Genre is an interesting topic… How does one distill and label observation enough to shove it into a box of conformed interest?

I’ve always just taken to saying that human nature is my genre, the way that we continuously try to force, shame, and guilt our humanity and individuality into the complying social normative structure of the power that be’s idea of controlled conformity and what it does to the psychological makeup of the human experience and spirit.

Power changes constantly. What we call trends, reflect the expectctations of a narrative that doesn’t necessarily reflect a collectives voice, but rather forces us to constantly question what is wrong with our nature in general.

No story can be repeated, for we all interpret suffering, joy, pleasure, and loss – you name it- differently.

Though the baseline melody might consist of the same notes, we each add our unique interpretation of disparate expressions to its melodic outcome.

There is no such thing as an original idea; however, there is uniqueness in the approach to any story, song, and experience as old as time.
